After two successful years, the RESPECT project had its third annual meeting in Mannheim, Germany, from June 24 to 25, 2024. This year’s meeting, held at the Mannheim University Hospital, was especially exciting as it marked a return to in-person gatherings, enhancing teamwork and cooperation within the project.
Principal Investigators (PIs) and researchers from partner institutions all over Europe joined in, including representatives from Germany (Universität Heidelberg), Spain (Universidad de Navarra), Denmark (Aarhus University), and Italy (Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri). The meeting also welcomed PhD students and specialists such as radiologists and nephrologists, showcasing the multidisciplinary nature of RESPECT project.
The meeting’s agenda closely followed the format of previous years. Key objectives and achievements of each work package (WP) were reviewed against the project’s Gantt Chart. Presentations highlighted significant milestones reached over the year, leading to dynamic discussions and valuable feedback to tackle challenges among centers and speed up progress to meet the project’s deadline in May 2025.
The session was a big step forward. “It was really useful to check the progress and align on what remains to be done,” said Anna Caroli, the RESPECT coordinator.
The third annual meeting of the RESPECT project in Mannheim was a highly productive event, reinforcing the team’s commitment to achieving the project’s goals on schedule. With renewed energy and clear direction, the team is well-positioned to continue its success in the coming year!
